ACCELERATOR PROGRAM 2017

Our bespoke development program is entering its second year. Accelerator Pod gives participants a commercial focus to their writing with strong market input and great tools.

It’s all about developing and producing commercially viable low- budget ($800k – $1.5million) genre feature films in a market-focused, risk-managed process. ACTSIA, the ACT Screen Industry Association, will deliver Accelerator Pod in partnership with The Film Distillery (formerly CVS)

This is done with market involvement from day one. Odin’s Eye International has come onboard again this year to guide and select commercial, sellable projects that they believe have the best chance of success in the international market place.

The attachment program is designed to help the ACT build its capacity in various positions that interest our industry. Anyone can register for the attachment program which is a paid position within any kind of production that is funded by the Screen Investment Fund. This program will provide experience and career development as well as credits. In most cases, productions will take on a number of attachments but require that the attachee have had some exposure to the role that they are taking on.
